Activities – 2008 

• Liaised with Hurstville City Council over parking and traffic issues at Chivers Hill shopping precinc
• 
  Liaised with Hurstville Police over ongoing safety and vandalism issues in the area
• 
  Participated in Clean Up Australia Day 2008 at Evatt Park
• 
  Forwarded a proposal to HCC  for an additional recreational facility for youth
• 
  Assisted HCC with their India Myna control program by purchasing two traps and providing information to residents
• 
  Worked with Hurstville City Library to have early photos and memorabilia of Lugarno and the Lugarno Progress Association preserved
• 
  Contributed to the 75 Anniversary of Lugarno Public School by participating in their open day and providing each student with a cap depicting the ongoing relationship between our Association and Lugarno Public School
• 
  Maintained communication with Lugarno residents and community organisations via our regular newsletters
